We've been posting a lot lately on HBO's strategic plan to aggressively expand its Internet and mobile presence. Yesterday's announcement with AOL is another good step forward for the number three cable television network among teens and college students. Going live sometime during the first quarter of next year, HBO is teaming up with sister company AOL (who, based on all of the articles being written seems to be the latest Internet media darling of the week...go figure, after they were trashed for the past four years) to launch ThisJustIn.com, a new broadband comedy site. The hope is that the content (if deemed successful) appearing on the broadband site could possibly make its way through other HBO platforms like HBO Mobile or the actual premium cable network itself.
