Nothing is better than starting off the week knowing a prediction you made on Friday came to fruition (and then some) over the weekend. Warner Bros. epic "300" hit theaters last Friday and had a huge run over the weekend grossing some $70 million compared to $28 million for the number two film in country, "Wild Hogs." We knew that "300" was going to be big, but we didn't realize it was going to blow away opening weekend records. In fact, even the studio thought "300" would pull in $35 to $40 million this weekend, instead in pulled in about double what was expected. The studio estimates via exit polls that "300's" audience was about 60% male and slightly more than half (52%) were under age 25. It looks like "300" will fast become the year's second film to gross more than $100 million at the box office, "Ghost Rider" just hit the $100 million mark this past weekend.
